AGRICENTER The California
Central Coast Region, with its moderate climates, advanced and independent agricultural
businesses and strong agricultural heritage makes the region rich both in ability and
resources for agribusiness growth. Close proximity to deep water seaports (Port Hueneme,
Los Angeles and Long Beach), a multicultural work force, academic agribusiness training
and an advanced communications network provide an excellent infrastructure for a thriving
international agribusiness economic region on the Pacific rim.
The Pacific AgriCenter is the international
agribusiness hub supported by the Pacific Agribusiness Alliance for the central California
area. As a unifying banner for business, the Pacific AgriCenter enhances the global
visibility and economic prosperity of the region.

By integrating agriculture into the community as
well as the economy there is a benefit to the quality of life that has long ago vanished
from most metropolitan areas.
- Tourism:
Regional farms, specialty crops and
unique methods of production already attract interest to the region. Farmers markets,
